Just So Festival '19
As Sam was part of the official press team we were gifted weekend camping tickets to the magical world of Just So, a family festival weekend full of art & adventure. This year was particularly special as it was their 10th Birthday!
Having only been to their newly established Timber Fest, we weren't quite sure what to expect but despite the tricky weather conditions, we were quickly drawn into the magic and excitement.

A month's worth of rain descended down upon us on the Friday, so we were very grateful to arrive within a dry window, just in time to put the tent up, before heading out into the quirky-ness that is Just So.
There was such a fantastic atmosphere and everywhere you looked something interesting was going on. Dressing up is encouraged and there certainly were costumes aplenty, inspired by the main premise of the festival, forging tribal alliances to one of the seven animal tribes... fish, frogs, owls, stags, foxes, lions or bees, which would you choose?
We sadly ran out of time to create a costume this year, but secretly I was Team Fox and Sam opted for the Lion tribe...

The entire weekend we were under the enchantment of Just So, wandering from campfire stories at Spellbound Forest, past ghostly caribou to silent disco dancing at Flamingo Lounge...
It was so lovely to see everyone making memories, playing in the mud together and just generally getting lost in nature and art.

Overall, we were pleasantly surprised (as this is primarily advertised as a family and children's festival, I wasn't sure what to expect going as a young & childless adult haha) and have returned feeling inspired. After all, with such a positive and buzzing atmosphere over the weekend full of whimsical costumes, incredible performances and just general fun, it's easy to let yourself be drawn into this magical world.
