7 trips around the sun together & a charming tree-house π
"There is nothing quite
so pure in love
as a boy
and a girl
building castles
in the clouds." - Atticus
Sunday 14.04.19 marked my seventh wonderful trip around the sun together with Samuel. Looking back at all the many adventures we've had together, what better way to celebrate our anniversary than with a quirky stay in a tree-house...?
Our charming little home for the night is set on Cronkshaw Fold Farm, a working farm overlooking the Alden Valley. When we first arrived, the free range chickens wandering the site came to investigate right away & say hello, which was a lovely start to our trip.
Overlooking the valley, the surrounding views were stunning and inside was every bit as cosy and wonderful as I imagined. You couldn't fail to notice you were among the treetops looking down at the mossy branches and watching as little birds flitted to and fro. We settled down for a cosy evening, listening to the chickens clucking happily below, as the evening sky darkened.
I'll admit one of the reasons I was totally convinced to book this tree-house was 110% because of this magical key lock....

“With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?”―
With all the fairy lights, it transforms into a lovely & cosy space, especially curled up with a book & listening to the wind outside. Unfortunately, it was cloudy during our stay but we did wake up to a beautiful sunrise...
I particularly loved this little wooden corner desk; with a cup of hot chocolate to start the day, it's a lovely space to sit and watch the world go by or sketch for a little while....
This was such a fun and quirky stay, perfect for any fellow adventurers out there!
Here's to all the future adventures together and as Shakespeare would say "I would not wish any companion in the world but you." π xox
(disclaimer, not affiliated, we booked this trip ourselves and just really enjoyed our stay here)
