Pendragon Castle & The Woods

An early start for us on our last day in Cumbria; nearby to my parent's new home is a really fantastic location perfect for creative shooting so we couldn't resist having some fun while we were here....

The path down to the woods are full of wild garlic and the trees are those sort of trees that form natural tunnels alongside the running beck. It's a really lovely location, one I'm sure we'll take full advantage of in the future, as my pre-coffee brain was a little too tired to take many behind the scenes this morning...

After Sam slipping into the beck, we decided it was a sign to head back for some coffee; feeling much more awake after the caffeine, we headed out to one of my favourite hidden gems in the Lake District, Pendragon Castle. Nestled in the valley, slightly off the road it's one of those places we stumbled upon once upon a time and I'm so glad we did. This visit was a little bit of a nostalgia hit for me as the walls were covered in beautiful purple flowers, bringing back all the memories of exploring when I was younger.

One last cape twirl....
& a coffee stop at a sheltered quarry further up the road before heading back to the busy city life.
